SCRIPTURE:
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we
may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
(Hebrews 4:16)
MEDITATION:
If a person is not a child of the Lord,
then they would approach His throne with fear and trembling.
However, those who belong to the Lord
should have a much different attitude when approaching His throne.
When we belong to Him, we should confidently approach His throne.
Of course, the question is, “How do we approach His throne?”
We approach His throne through prayer.
Praying is simply a two-way conversation between you and God.
Many people only pray whenever they are under great stress, in danger,
or overcome by uncertainty.
For instance, if an airplane engine dies, people who don’t pray daily,
will suddenly consider the importance of prayer and start to pray.
Some soldiers consider prayer as important when they are in the midst of a battle.
Whenever there are times of trouble, many people instinctively pray
to a God whom they know about, but do not know intimately.
They have not spent time daily,
getting to know the Lord and building a relationship with Him.
Yet, when bad times come, they want that relationship with the Lord.
The scriptures tell us that when we are His and can approach His throne with
confidence, as a result of His mercy and grace, the Lord gives us what we need.
When we know Him intimately, He freely meets our needs
(not necessarily our wants, but our needs).
Individuals feel more confident and strong when they are close to the Lord.
However, it goes much deeper – a nation is stronger
when it unites in earnest prayer to the God of the universe.
When we need answers as an individual or a nation,
we need to confidently approach the throne of almighty God in prayer.
To have that confidence, we need to belong to Him.
ACTION:
What kind of prayer life do you have?
Do you communicate with God on a daily basis?
If not, then why not?
Don’t wait until you have a specific need to talk to Him.
Talk to Him daily and if you are unsure of what to say,
praise Him for who He is, and thank Him for all the blessings He has given you.
Pray,
“Heavenly Father, my desire is to communicate with You confidently.
I want to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I belong to You. I now
realize the importance of developing a close relationship with You and
that is what I want. If I do not belong to You, then make me aware and
guide me to someone who can explain to me what I must do. Teach me
to develop a daily prayer life so that I can get to know You better. Help
me to instinctively know that whenever troubles come my way, my first
response is to talk to You, confidently knowing that You will provide me
with what I need to overcome. Help me to develop consistency in praying
so that communicating with You becomes the highlight of my day.”

I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
So true. Awesome
