Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.

AS A CHRISTIAN, HOW FAR HAVE I MOVED AWAY FROM PREVIOUS SINS?

BIBLE PASSAGE: For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. (Galatians 2:18) MEDITATION: Whenever we receive the Lord’s salvation, if we are sincere then we will start making changes in our lives. We begin weeding out the things that are not pleasing to the Lord, and start replacing … Continue reading

JOY AND HAPPINESS CAN BE FOUND IN SERVING THE LORD!

BIBLE PASSAGE: “Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs” (Psalm 100:2) MEDITATION: There should be joy in every act of obedience by Christians, including worship and service. We are not called to serve with the fear of a slave, and not as a matter of obligation, or force. We are not … Continue reading

IS THE LORD’S HOUSE A PLACE OF GLADNESS OR ENDURANCE FOR YOU?

BIBLE PASSAGE: I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord. (Psalm 122:1) MEDITATION: Have you ever noticed how some people go to work with a headache? Some go to sporting events (or play sports) with a bad cold. However on Sunday, a lot of people are … Continue reading

ARE YOU FULLY OR PARTIALLY COMMITTED TO THE LORD?

BIBLE PASSAGE: However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. (1 Peter 4:16) MEDITATION: In an effort to provide what people want to hear, America has created a watered-down Christianity that has produced anemic, watered-down Christians who are unwilling to live according to God’s … Continue reading

LOVE ACCOMPLISHES MUCH

BIBLE PASSAGE: Let all that you do be done with love. (1 Corinthians 16:14) MEDITATION: What motivates Christians to be an active part of a ministry or member of a church? It is an inherent characteristic of love for people, and a desire to see Christ’s life-changing power have an impact on others. If we … Continue reading

HOW ARE OTHERS IMPACTED BY MY LEVEL OF FAITH AND COMMITMENT?

BIBLE PASSAGE: Noah did everything just as God commanded him. (Genesis 6:22) MEDITATION: Some people spend very little time reading the Old Testament. I have heard some say that it is not as relevant as the New Testament, and not as interesting to read. If God did not want us to read the Old Testament, … Continue reading

TRUE REPENTANCE INCLUDES RECEIVING THE HOLY SPIRIT

BIBLE PASSAGE: Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38) MEDITATION: There are several definitions for ‘repentance’ but the one I like the best is “to change one’s mind”. … Continue reading

OUR WANTS CAN CRUSH OUR APPRECIATION FOR WHAT WE HAVE

BIBLE PASSAGE: Then He said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” (Luke 12:15) MEDITATION: Being rich can be defined in two ways – having a lot, or wanting very little. Since ‘having a lot’ requires much … Continue reading

BECOMING UNSHAKEABLE IN AN UNSTABLE WORLD

BIBLE PASSAGE: Whoever does these things will never be shaken. (Psalm 15:5b) MEDITATION: How great would it be to never be shaken? When I think about ‘being shaken’, I think about being devastated by some event. If that is true, then when the Psalmist says we will never be shaken, he means that when adverse … Continue reading

ENJOYING THE GOOD THINGS IN LIFE

BIBLE PASSAGE: I say to the LORD, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.” (Psalm 16:2) MEDITATION: We hear it way too often, don’t we? People telling us that they “just can’t get it together”. Trouble just has a way of seeking them out. What could possibly be the ‘missing … Continue reading
