Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.

REMEMBERING AND SHARING GOD’S GOODNESS

BIBLE PASSAGE: “The Sovereign LORD has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.” (Isaiah 50:4) MEDITATION: Do you have difficulty remembering things? Recently, I was walking off the 18th green on a golf course … Continue reading

GIFTS SHOULD BE APPRECIATED AND TAKEN ARE OF, BUT WHAT IF THEY AREN’T?

BIBLE PASSAGE: If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! (Matthew 7:11) MEDITATION: If you gave someone what you felt was a precious gift, and they failed to treat it carefully … Continue reading

BEING GRATEFUL AND ENJOYING HOW UNIQUELY GOD HAS MADE ME

BIBLE PASSAGE: So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir. (Galatians 4:7) MEDITATION: The scriptures tell us that we are “no longer a slave”, but too often we make ourselves slaves, because we fail to accept the fact that God … Continue reading

WE CAN CONFORM OR TRANSFORM, BUT WE CANNOT DO BOTH

BIBLE MEDITATION: For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. (1 Peter 1:18-19) DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT: When we hear … Continue reading

KNOWING SOMEONE IS OF GREATER VALUE THAN KNOWING ABOUT THEM

BIBLE MEDITATION: “That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.” (2 Timothy 1:12) DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT: It is NOT a miracle that we … Continue reading

A LOYAL AND DEPENDABLE FRIEND IS A BLESSING FROM GOD

BIBLE PASSAGE: But it is you, a man like myself, my companion, my close friend, with whom I once enjoyed sweet fellowship at the house of God, as we walked about among the worshipers. (Psalm 55:13-14) MEDITATION: Charles Hadden Spurgeon (19th Century English Preacher) said, “Friendship is one of the sweetest joys of life. Many … Continue reading

LIVING BOLDLY FOR THE LORD CONFIRMS OUR FAITH IN HIM

BIBLE PASSAGE: “The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.” (Proverbs 28:1) MEDITATION: Our world has tried to judicially remove God from everything, but that can never be done. Christianity cannot be kept out of any place, unless Christians are kept out. Christian people should take it … Continue reading

ENCOUNTERS WITH THE LORD CAN OCCUR UNEXPECTEDLY, AT ANY TIME!

BIBLE PASSAGE: A certain man from Cyrene, Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and they forced him to carry the cross. (Mark 15:21) MEDITATION: Feast of the Unleavened Bread: A weeklong celebration to remember when God brought the Israelites out of the bondage of … Continue reading

THE QUIETNESS OF FRIENDS IS MORE VALUABLE THAN THE NOISE OF ENEMIES

BIBLE PASSAGE: “Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous.” (1 Peter 3:8) MEDITATION: There are at least five qualities of friendship. 1. Harmony.     We are to be of one mind; not necessarily singing the same note,     but complimenting one another. Each … Continue reading

GOD’S PLANS ARE UNAFFECTED BY OUR EMOTIONS OR INTELLECTUALITY

BIBLE PASSAGE: “For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God” (1 Corinthians 2:11) MEDITATION: Sidlow Baxter (pastor/theologian/evangelist) once said,     “Your emotions are the shallowest part of your nature.       Salvation is the deepest work … Continue reading
