Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.

I’M SAVED, NOW WHAT? (part-07)

I’M SAVED, NOW WHAT? (part-07) TEMPTATIONS: Trials are quite different from temptations. When we face trials orchestrated by the Lord, the goal is to make us stronger in our faith and increase our closeness with Him. Temptations however are designed to destroy our fellowship with the Lord, and ultimately make us fail in our obedience … Continue reading

I’M SAVED, NOW WHAT? (part-06)

I’M SAVED, NOW WHAT? (part-06) HUMILITY: Okay, we understand James’ point in James 1:8 (when he talks about being double-minded), but what can help us when we are trying to make a choice between the things of the world and our dedication to the Lord? One area to evaluate is our attitude. James says we … Continue reading

THE PROMISE OF COMFORTING THOSE WHO MOURN

BIBLE PASSAGE: “Blessed are they that mourn: for they will be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4) MEDITATION: When Jesus uttered theses words in His ‘sermon on the mount’, He was teaching others about ‘righteousness’ and ‘godliness’. We all know that God loves us and wants to comfort us when we are sad and heart-broken, but when Jesus … Continue reading

I’M SAVED, NOW WHAT? (part-05)

I’M SAVED, NOW WHAT? (part-05) PRAYER: Believers know that prayer is our opportunity to communicate with God. Satan knows this too and will use his entire arsenal of deceptions to try to discourage Christians from praying. Why? Because he knows that he cannot stop the Lord from answering our prayers. So what does he do? … Continue reading

WHEN GOD SPEAKS TO US, ARE WE LISTENING? (PART 4 OF 4)

Understanding how God has spoken in the past helps us to discover and understand the ways He may speak to us today. How does God speak to us today? In Part 3 of the series, we looked at eight ways that God spoke to men and women during biblical times. We should never limit the … Continue reading

WHEN GOD SPEAKS TO US, ARE WE LISTENING? (PART 3 OF 4)

After God has ‘gotten our attention’, how does He ‘speak to us’? First let’s look at how He spoke to His people during biblical times. He spoke to them in many ways and listed below are 8 of them. Direct Revelation: This is what many today would call an audible voice of God. It can … Continue reading

I’M SAVED, NOW WHAT? (part-04)

I’M SAVED, NOW WHAT? (part-04) PERSEVERANCE Perseverance should be a characteristic that everyone (and especially believers) would like to own. It means that we continue pursuing an objective regardless of the obstacles that get in our way. Perseverance is not something that can be developed in a passive manner; it is acquired through actions, determination, … Continue reading

GOD CALLS US TO SALVATION FOR TWO REASONS

BIBLE PASSAGE; For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) MEDITATION: Does this scripture excite you? It should! More than likely when most of us receive salvation from the Lord, we know … Continue reading

WHEN GOD SPEAKS TO US, ARE WE LISTENING? (PART 2 OF 4)

Whenever we speak to someone else, we want to have their undivided attention, don’t we? Unless we have their attention, we cannot be sure they are listening to what we have to say. Being honest, most people are not very good listeners. Some are subtle about not listening, but others are obvious with their lack … Continue reading

I’M SAVED, NOW WHAT? (part-03)

I’M SAVED, NOW WHAT? (part-03) PROBLEMS When people are faced with problems, what are some ways they react? Some reactions could be:     Surprise – “How did this happen?”     Anger – “This should have never happened to me!”     Doubt – “What have I done wrong?”     Despair/panic – “Now what am I going … Continue reading
