Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 120 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.

WHAT DOES GOD EXPECT OF ME AFTER HE HAS GIVEN ME HIS SALVATION?

BIBLE PASSAGE: I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. (John 4) MEDITATION: After Jesus told His disciples that He would soon be leaving them, He prayed. He explained to them what would happen so they would not be surprised and experience turmoil at His departure. He … Continue reading

WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT PREVENT ME FROM BELIEVING IN CHRIST?

BIBLE PASSAGE: Now Thomas (also known as Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put … Continue reading

READING IS FUNDAMENTAL TO MEDITATION, WHICH RESULTS IN BLESSINGS!

BIBLE PASSAGE: “Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.” (Revelation 22:7) MEDITATION: Another word for ‘keep’ is ‘possess’. When the scriptures say, ‘keep’ the words of the Bible, it means we should ‘possess’, or ‘own’ them. In other words, if we read … Continue reading

HOW CAN I PLEASE THE GOD WHO BLESSES ME?

BIBLE PASSAGE: Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God ~ this is your spiritual act of worship. (Romans 12:1) MEDITATION: The word “sacrifice” is described in several ways. When we hear the word, more than likely we think of the … Continue reading

IS MY FAITH GLORIFYING GOD OR MISLEADING OTHERS?

BIBLE PASSAGE: In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16) MEDITATION: Have you ever thought about how clever Satan can be in his tactics to discourage people from seeking salvation, but more than that, duping Christians into wrong … Continue reading

HOW IS JESUS CHRIST BEING TREATED IN THE WORLD TODAY?

SCRIPTURAL PASSAGE: The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29) MEDITATION: At the cross of Christ, sin reached its climax. Sin’s most terrible display took place at Calvary. It was never blacker or more hideous. We saw … Continue reading

WINNING OUR BATTLES THROUGH PRAYER

SCRIPTURE: Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7) MEDITATION: What would we do if someone began to push against us, attempting to throw us off a position that is rightfully ours? How would we respond? Most people would lean into the weight and push back. That’s … Continue reading

MARRIAGE: A BATTLEGROUND OR A BLISSFUL UNION?

SCRIPTURE: There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:28) MEDITATION: We can see in Galatians that Paul affirms the equality of men and women in Christ. So what does he mean in Ephesians 5:22? Wives, submit to … Continue reading

GAINING COURAGE DURING DIFFICULT TIMES

SCRIPTURE: He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” (Mark 4:30) MEDITATION: When we face a hardship in life, is fear the first emotion we feel? It doesn’t have to be; we can respond in faith regardless of our circumstances. Remember, courage isn’t just an attitude of … Continue reading

THE LORD BLESSES US DURING GOOD AND BAD TIMES

SCRIPTURE: Then King David went in and sat before the Lord, and he said: “Who am I, O Sovereign Lord, and what is my family that You have brought me this far?” (2 Samuel 7:18) MEDITATION: Have you ever been in a place of “this far”? A place where you are experiencing God’s blessing and … Continue reading
