DEVOTIONALS

WHAT VOICE DO YOU HEAR?

BIBLE PASSAGE:
“Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of
our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our
brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God
day and night.”
(Revelation 12:10)

MEDITATION:
We will be miserable Christians if we don’t learn the difference
between Holy Spirit conviction and Satanic accusation.
When the Holy Spirit convicts us of a sin, it is legitimate and specific.
We will not just ‘feel bad all over’, but we will feel an ongoing
conviction that we must make some changes in our lives.

In his efforts to discourage us and render us ineffective in serving God,
Satan has a twofold attack for trying to separate us from fellowshipping
with our heavenly Father whose love for us is incomprehensible.
The evil one will point an accusing finger at all our sins in general,
and he will also accuse us of a specific sin for which we have already
been forgiven.

ACTION:
If we ask God to forgive us of our sin and we put our sin under the
blood of Jesus Christ, if it comes up again, it’s not God bringing it up.
However, we can be sure that God will remind us of any unconfessed sin.

Read Revelation 12:9-11:
The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil,
or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth,
and his angels with him. Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now
have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and
the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters,
who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of
their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from
death.

Pray,
“Heavenly Father, help me distinguish between Your voice
and the accusing voice of Satan. Thank You for forgiving
me of the sins I have confessed to You, and for reminding
me of sins I still need to confess. Prevent me from allowing
Satan to convince me that when You have forgiven me I am
still guilty and unforgiven for the sins I have confessed. Help
me to realize his efforts are designed to discourage me and to
separate me from fellowshipping with You.”

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
