These are the types of things that can cause us to feel insecure.
If Satan can attack us in the area of insecurity,
then he is succeeding in putting us in bondage,
and destroying our joy, along with our effectiveness
in serving the Lord.
Insecurity can be devastating in a person’s life
(it hurts them and also the people around them).
Romans 8:33-39
(we do not HAVE to be insecure)
When we have a right relationship with the Lord,
we have an awesome fellowship!
Satan’s desire is to create doubt in our minds
about the reality of God’s love for us.
If he is successful, then it will affect all areas
of our relationships with God, His Son, and the Holy Spirit.
It will have a negative impact on our prayer life if
we lose the knowledge and assurance of His love for us.
All of us have probably felt insecure about something
at times, but when insecurity controls and dominates
our life, it can result in a life of disappointments.
Insecurity:
– A feeling of being inadequate to face challenges in life
(“I don’t think I’m up to doing it”)
– A sense of helplessness in facing some situations
(“I don’t know what to do” “I don’t feel like I can handle it”)
– A feeling that:
– We are unaccepted.
– Others disapprove of us.
– We don’t think anyone cares for us.
– We’ve been set aside.
– We have no direction in life.
– We are inadequate.
– We are not loved.
This is the initial look at a 5-part series on “Insecurity”.
Read this one again in preparation for the next four.
Think about any insecurities in your own life
and how they affect not only you personally,
but those around you as well.
