DEVOTIONALS

THE MASTER OF SATAN

BIBLE PASSAGE:
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this
world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
(John 16:33)

MEDITATION:
The devil may be powerful, but God is all powerful (omnipotent).
The kingdom does not belong to Satan.
It belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ.
It is not mastery over the devil that we need;
it is the Master of the devil, the Lord Jesus Christ, whom we need.

There are three cords that run throughout the Bible:
One is the dark cord of Satan’s revolt.
One is the crimson red cord of blood redemption through Jesus Christ.
One is the golden cord of the second coming of Jesus Christ.

When Jesus Christ went to the cross, He said,
“Now is the prince of this world cast out” (John 12:31).

One great day the prophecy of Revelation is going to come true,
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
“Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters,
who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their
testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the
earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with
fury, because he knows that his time is short.”(Revelation 12:9-12).

It is sad that some who think they will not be cast out,
will in fact be included with Satan and his angels and miss out on Heaven.
Some are living in sin today, but think that they are part of the family of God.
God says,
“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either
one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will
spit you out of my mouth” (Revelation 3:15-16).

ACTION:
It appears that Satan’s fury is being unleashed on the world we live in today.
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. (2 Timothy 3:3)
It is easy to see that the evil one is preparing the world for the anti-Christ,
while the Lord is preparing His people for the Rapture.

We all have profound choices to make.
Will we be influenced by the cunning schemes of the evil one,
or will we choose to grow closer to the Lord and to do good works?
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking,
correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God
may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16)

The world continues to choose to reject the Lord, and even many who
claim to be Christians have chosen to ignore His commands in favor
of fulfilling their own desires.
As a result, we are getting an idea of what our world is like
when God removes His hand of protection and restraint,
and we witness the increase of evilness and lawlessness.

Those who belong to the Lord have hope and anticipate the return of Jesus.
Those without Jesus can only endure and try to survive
in a world becoming more deviant and evil.
Joshua made a wise choice for himself and his family.
But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves
this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond
the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But
as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)

Pray,
“Lord I have rejected or ignored You and Your commands for too long.
Forgive me for my sins and disobedience, and fill me with Your Spirit
so that I will flee the desires of the world, and pursue righteousness,
faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on Your name out of
a pure heart.”

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
