RUN THE RACE / FINISH THE COURSE

BIBLE PASSAGE:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
(2 Timothy 4:7)

MEDITATION:
When Jesus came to the end of His life, He said,
“I have brought you glory on earth
by finishing the work you gave me to do.” (John 17:4).
He stayed on the track, and so did Paul.
They accomplished what God had planned for them to do.

Every man has a race that he must run; every woman has a race set before her.
God knows the course, and everything He commands of you,
He will empower you to do.
Whether you’re nine or ninety, young or old,
rich or poor, God has a plan for your life!
God has a race He wants YOU to run!

ACTION:
What is the race God has planned for you?
If you are not sure, then pray and boldly ask Him.
Pray with a desire to respond by pursuing His goals for you.
Like any race, it will be exciting, exhilarating and have its share of challenges.

But in the end, you will be overjoyed that you ran the race…for Him.
You will also find joy while running the race; you will discover His blessings.
Thank God for giving you your plan (race),
and providing you with what is needed to finish the course.

Pray,
“Heavenly Father, I know I don’t deserve to be a participant in Your
earthly ministry, but You have plans for me anyway. Help me to
discover where and how You want me to serve, and to diligently pursue
the plans You have for me. I ask that You would give me energy, good
health, perseverance, tenacity, wisdom and guidance, so that when I
willingly follow Your path for me, I will be effective and successful.
Remind me to never take credit for anything You do through me.”
