GOD REMEMBERS!

BIBLE PASSAGE:
“He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun.”
(Psalm 37:6)

MEDITATION:
A preacher was in a church where he felt God had led him.
But nothing seemed to work out, so he wanted to go to another church.
In his discouraged state of mind, he told a friend,
“I know where God put me, and I know God put me here,
but I just wonder if He remembers where He put me.”

God remembers!
He has not forgotten.
He is never late.
Don’t rush God.

Don’t think He has abandoned you
because your prayers have not been answered yet.
He will turn your midnight into a sunrise
and your mourning into dancing.

When you observe others seemingly succeeding with their unethical, scheming,
and deceitful ways, while having no obvious connection with God,
don’t get upset and feel discouraged, or defeated.
On the surface it may appear that they ‘have it all together’,
but you cannot see the voids in their life without God.

Satan wants you to evaluate the success of others so you will be discouraged
from continuing to trust God, having faith that He has not forgotten you, and
appreciating that He is working out what is best for you, because He loves you.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love
him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

ACTION:
God has specific plans for you (and they are good plans for your enjoyment).
Don’t miss out on His goodness because you are comparing yourself to others.
Read Psalm 37:4-7 and rejoice in the hope
of God’s wisdom and provision in your life.
Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication
like the noonday sun. Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their
wicked schemes. (Psalm 37:4-7)

Pray,
“Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me and working out what is
best for me in this earthly life. Help me to enjoy and trust what You
have for me, rather than comparing myself to others. Teach me how
to use the special gifts You have given me for pointing others to Jesus.
Forgive me for being ungrateful for all You have provided, for all You
will provide, and for not trusting You at all times. You care for me as
a father cares for his son and I am thankful that I can call You, Father!”

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
