YES, YOUR LIFE CAN BE ENRICHED!

BIBLE PASSAGE:
For in Him you have been enriched
in every way – in all your speaking and in all your knowledge.
(1 Corinthians 1:5)

MEDITATION:
The word “enrichment” means
“to make something more meaningful, substantial, or rewarding”.
Enrichment improves and makes things more valuable
by adding or increasing desirable qualities and attributes.

This is one of the awesome blessings received
when we surrender our lives to the Lord (“in Him”).
The Lord increases the quality of the words we say, and the depth of our knowledge.

“Knowledge” – what knowledge?
Our knowledge of God’s Word, His principles, His blessings,
His expectations, and the characteristics of His Son, Jesus.
It means that when we read (or hear) the scriptures, we have a greater
understanding of their meanings (for our own lives, and the lives of others).

The bible is no longer just information (history, theology, etc.),
but what we read becomes meaningful to us and we apply it to our lives.
Our thoughts and thinking are changed when our knowledge is enriched.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble,
whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is
admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about
such things. (Philippians 4:8)

“Speaking” – what words?
Words that are similar to the ones we have seen from the One we follow, Jesus.
Words that are kind, gentle, caring, and uplifting to others.
Words that are prepared to tell others of our faith and how we have been blessed.

ACTION:
Wouldn’t you like to have your life enriched?
Imagine what it would mean to have your knowledge and speaking enriched.
The Lord promises to enrich our lives in ways
that cannot be matched by anything the world has to offer.

Pray,
“Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promises to those who are a
part of Your spiritual family. Thank You for how You can enrich my
knowledge and words so that I can effectively serve You. Help me to
use my knowledge and words to encourage others, tell them of how I
have been blessed, and point them to Your Son, Jesus. Remind me to
assess my attitudes and words often and determine if they have gotten
worse, remained the same, or improved as a result of my increased
knowledge of Your Word.”
