DEVOTIONALS

GOD BLESSES AND HELPS THOSE WHO BRING HOPE TO OTHERS

BIBLE PASSAGE:
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me,
the works that I do he will do also; and greater works
than these he will do, because I go to My Father”
(John 14:12)

MEDITATION:
There have been many debates over what this scripture means.
To me, it simply means what it says. With that said, it begs the
question,
“Are we doing what Jesus did?”
Jesus says,
“we who believe in Him” will “do the works that He does”.

He adds that we will do even greater works than He did. More
than likely Jesus means that since He walked the earth as one
man, He could only make contact with a limited amount of people.
However, the many who believe in Him can reach many more people.

When we look at the life of Christ and the lives of the disciples,
we see them taking the message of hope to people who were hurting.
No doubt Jesus Christ has called us to do the same. Our job is to go,
to plant, to water, and bring the message of hope. Jesus Christ will
honor our going in His name.

Jesus declared that He is the Author and the Finisher of our faith.
He wrote the book and walked through the pages as an example
for us to follow. He came and died that men may be set free, and
that Satan would be defeated. He chose to pass that work on to
the church, which you and I are a part of.

He has given us His power, His anointing, and His name to see that
men and women everywhere are brought to a saving knowledge in
Him. He has equipped us, called us and gone before us, to ensure
that we would be victorious in this calling. Why would we not expect
God to move when we go in His name?

ACTION:
Be grateful that the Lord has called you to be on His team.
Be grateful also, that He provides you with everything you
need to do whatever He wants you to do. He would never
ask you to do something that He would not equip you to
do. Never forget that He guided someone to bring hope
into your own life.

Pray,
“Heavenly Father, thank You for showing me in
Your Word how to be like Jesus. I never expected
to be someone who could bring hope to others,
encourage them and point them to Jesus, but Your
Word assures me that I can. Thank You for that
promise. Now, I ask You to help me do what You
want me to do. Give me the courage and confidence
to do the things that Jesus did.”

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
