SCRIPTURE:
“There is salvation in no one else! Under all heaven
there is no other name for men to call upon to save them.”
(Acts 4:12)
MEDITATION:
Wouldn’t it be nice if there were various routes
for going to Heaven when our life on earth is over?
If there was a kind of smorgasbord where we could,
pick and choose which route fits our desires and personalities the best.
Of course it could also be confusing, because as we age,
our wants and the things that are most important to us change.
Then what would we do?
Would we stay with the first one we chose, or choose a different path?
If we change, what about all the time we invested in our original choice?
When we think about having many options,
aren’t you glad that God has given us only one path to Heaven?
It levels the playing field for everyone,
and we don’t have to decide which choice fits us the best.
Instead, we choose the path that fits God the best;
after all He is the One who saves us, so He should determine the path.
Salvation is an act of God.
It is initiated by God, fashioned by God, and made constant by God.
The faith that saves our soul is described as faith in Christ
as the Son of God; not as a good man, or even a great man,
but as the uniquely begotten Son of the living God!
Throughout the New Testament,
this has been the message from Jesus and many apostles.
Today, many pastors, missionaries and Bible teachers
proclaim the same message.
All declare the simple and consistent message
that faith in Jesus Christ as deity is the path to Heaven.
When we believe in Him as deity, we also believe that He left Heaven,
came to earth in the form of man,
and died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.
ACTION:
Are you guilty of trying to fit God’s one and only plan to your desires?
It just doesn’t work like that.
If you want to go to Heaven at the end of your earthly journey,
then you have to take the path
God has described – nothing more, nothing less.
Pray,
“Heavenly Father, first of all, thank You for providing us with an
opportunity to join You in Heaven. Thank You for giving us a one and
only path for salvation. Thank You, Jesus for making the supreme sacrifice
that makes salvation possible for everyone. Lord, if I have strayed from
the path You have described, make me aware of my error and help me to get
back on the correct path. I pray that You would also help me to use Your
spiritual gift to me for serving You and proclaiming Your message to others.”

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
