WHERE CAN YOU FIND THE OBJECT OF YOUR WORSHIP AND PRAISE?

BIBLE PASSAGE:
“He is not here, but is risen.”
(Luke 24:6)

MEDITATION:
There are many religions throughout the world but all of them,
except one, are based on worshipping a creation and not the
Creator. Christianity however is based on worshipping God’s
Son, Jesus Christ. None of the other religions can point to the
continued existence of the object of their worship.

All of the objects of other religions have either already
died, or will die. When they die, they remain in a state
of death until the judgment. However, the One worshipped
by Christians (Jesus Christ), arose after His death and
is living with the Father today.

In addition, He is the One Who will not only return to take
Christians home with Him, but He is also the One Who will
judge those who have been worshipping other gods and 
ignoring Him.

Because He lives, Christians have hope of a life everlasting when
their time on earth has ended. But Christians gain so much more
while they are living as they receive many blessings from the One
they worship.

Many good men have lived, and still live, in the memory of those
who knew them, but there is only One Who conquered death.
Jesus Christ conquered death, is alive today, and will live forever.
Many gravestones have the inscription, “Here lies (fill in the blank)”
but if Jesus had a gravestone, it would have the words, “He is not here”.

ACTION:
Are you worshipping the One Who is living today, or have you been
duped into worshipping an idol who is dead or dying? Doesn’t it make
sense that we should worship the Creator, and not creations?

Pray,
“Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Son, Jesus who rose from
the grave after man put Him to death. Thank You Jesus, for willingly
going to the cross and sacrificing Your human life to provide salvation
for everyone who believes in You and worships You as our Savior and
Lord. Because of Your death and resurrection, I have hope of a continued
life after my earthly life has ended. I am thankful that I worship a God Who
will never die, but lives today! Help me to live a life that reflects my faith
in You.”
