The 2016 Presidential Election Is Over, Now What?

To those who voted for Trump, it is not a time to gloat.

To those who voted for Clinton, it is not a time to be bitter.

To the believers who "humbled themselves and prayed that God would heal
our land", it is not a time lose our humility and stop praying.

According to the "talking heads", there were more evangelicals voting in
this election than in many of the previous presidential elections.
More than likely this had a major impact on this election.
If believers can have that type of an impact on an election, imagine the
impact they could have on a spiritual revival for our country.

That means that many will need to "set their jaw" and purposely re-establish
their close fellowship with the Lord. The latest statistics I have seen
indicate that only 17% of Christians attend worship on a regular basis.
We need to unite in worship and praise in order to establish an environment
of unification for our country.

Pray for our new president, pray for congress, pray for those who were
disappointed and angry over the elections, pray for our country, pray
for our world, pray for those dedicated to spreading God's Word, and
most of all, pray for the those who do not know the Lord as their personal
Savior.

Believers need to step up to the plate and take the lead in pointing
our country back to the God who has blessed our nation abundantly. God
expects us to be His agents and to "...go and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of
the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

We cannot fulfill our responsibility by putting other things ahead of
visiting the Lord at His house and uniting with other believers to
worship and praise Him. Those who do not know the Lord look to the
Christians to see if their faith is sincere and a high priority. We
don't have to be preachers or teachers to point others to the Lord,
we can accomplish a lot through the expression of our faith.

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
