“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
What is it about your life that you cannot explain apart from God?
How does it make you feel when you think about that part of your life?
Are you thankful that God is a part of your life?
Does it give you a comfort feeling knowing that He is a part of your life?
Think about your needs – not your wants, but your needs.
Do you focus more on the wants you don’t have
than you do on the needs that He is providing?
How has God provided for you?
Has He given you food, clothing and shelter?
Has He given you skills and abilities to work
in order to pay for the necessities of life?
Has He given you special spiritual gifts
that you can use in serving Him?
Has He been beside you during the dark times of your life?
Has He brought you back to Him whenever you began to stray?
Where are you in your life today?
Are you thankful to God in all things?
Do you show your appreciation by going to His house
on a regular basis to worship, praise and thank Him with others?
Have you unselfishly given control of your life to the Holy Spirit
or are you selfishlessly staying in control of your own life?
Do you need to have a serious conversation with your Provider?
ACTION POINT:
When you do things for others,
you like it when they show appreciation, right?
Wouldn’t it just make sense that we should
be appreciative for all that God does for us?
How is your life radiating your thankfulness to others?
If you haven’t already done this, spend time each day
thanking God for His love and His provisions for your needs.
PS.
Thank you to all who answered the call to pray for my friend Will James who is battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
The side effects of the first two chemo treatments were just plain horrible, but after the 3rd one yesterday,
he walked out of the office instead of having to use a wheel chair
(I believe that was God’s answer to the many prayers for Will).
He has a long journey ahead, but this was a ‘positive’ that brought him some encouragement.
Thank you all! And thank you God!
Great News about Will! God is good all the time!
