ENJOY THE ABUNDANT LIFE

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;
I have come that they may have life,
and that they might have it more abundantly.”
John 10:10

Do you know what is wrong with many believers?
They are busy trying to get out of trouble
instead of getting into righteousness.
We can become so focused on the defensive side of Christianity,
that we forget about the offensive, positive side that benefits us.
We need to learn to experience the abundant life our Lord talks about.
Jesus came to give us the abundant life.
He came to give us eternal life.
Wouldn’t you like to ‘get up’ and ‘stay up’?
One way to help us enjoy the promised abundant life is to
obey God’s command to ‘meet together with other believers for worship’
(Hebrews 10:24-25).
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,
not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging
one another —and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Did God give us instructions to worship Him in a silo?
Of course not, He tells us to meet with others
(and even more as we see the Day approaching).
This is a path that leads us toward ‘getting into righteousness’.

Make a decision today that you are going to
get right with God and stay right with God.
Start taking steps that lead to a life of obedience.
Examine your worship habits – do they follow His commands?
If not, then will you make the changes to become obedient?
The Day is approaching.

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
