THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

“But unto you that fear My name shall the Sun of righteousness arise
 with healing in His wings. . .” Malachi 4:2a

If Jesus is the SON of God, He is also the SUN of righteousness.
Think about the sunrise for a minute.
The sunrise never comes ahead of time, and it is never late.
The sunrise operates according to the power of God and the authority of God.
You can’t hurry it up, and you can’t stop it!
That’s the way the Second Coming of Jesus is.
He is coming at a time known only to God.
You can’t hurry it up, and you can’t stop it.
One day the Lord Jesus Christ shall come with trumpet sound.
He will pull back the shade of the night and pin it with a star.
Then He’ll open the door of the glorious morning of His millennial reign
and flood the world with light.
For some, it will be a glorious day.
For others, they will hear Him say, “Depart from me, I never knew you”.
How does He “know” us?
He knows those who spend time with Him in prayer;
those who have faith in Him;
those who trust Him in all things;
those who look forward to worshipping Him with other believers;
those who sacrifice selfish desires in order to spend more time with Him.

Each time you see a sunrise, praise God that His timing is perfect
and that He’s coming again!

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 120 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
