Think about these two scriptures each day when you arise. Others may not brighten your day in return, but I believe that God will.
Philippians 2:3 (helps us to replace selfishness with selflessness)
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.
Rather, in humility value others above yourselves
Colossians 3:17 (helps us to remember who gets the credit for our happiness)
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him
