Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 120 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.

PLEASING GOD IS THE HIGHEST PRIORITY FOR CHRISTIANS

BIBLE PASSAGE: Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. (Galatians 1:10) MEDITATION: There are many outside influences that can affect our actions and attitudes. Other … Continue reading

RESPONDING TO DISAPPOINTMENTS

BIBLE PASSAGE: Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. (Romans 12:19) MEDITATION: It’s inevitable, isn’t it? As we live out our lives on earth, we will encounter times when others cause disappointment, hurt, or … Continue reading

FAITH IS EXPRESSED THROUGH ACTIONS AND ATTITUDES

(John 4:36) MEDITATION: “Jealousy” is an emotion, and not a very good one to have. The word generally refers to the thoughts or feelings of insecurity, … Continue reading

(2 Corinthians 5:17) MEDITATION: The scriptures give us many promises that are true regardless of whether or not we believe them. Some want to refute God’s Word as truth, but … Continue reading

WHEN WE PRAY

(2 Timothy 2:15) MEDITATION: In 2 Timothy 2:15, we see three reasons for studying God’s Word. 1. To be approved by God (to let Him … Continue reading

HAVE YOU BEEN IGNORING THE LORD AND HIS WILL FOR YOU?

BIBLE PASSAGE: If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them. (James 4:17) MEDITATION: Have you ever felt ignored? Everyone longs for love, acceptance, and attention, but perhaps a friend or close relative has shown little interest in you, or what you have to say. … Continue reading

HAVE YOU FOUND YOURSELF IN A RUT OF FAILURE WITH NO WAY OUT?

BIBLE PASSAGE: He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?” “No,” they answered. He said. “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. (John 21:5-6) MEDITATION: How many … Continue reading

DEPRESSION IS A DESTRUCTIVE THREAT TO OUR JOY AND HAPPINESS

BIBLE PASSAGE: For in the day of trouble He will keep me safe in His dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at His tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; … Continue reading

BEING IN BONDAGE IS NOT ENJOYABLE, BUT IT CAN BE!

BIBLE PASSAGE: I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as they were before. (Jeremiah 33:7) MEDITATION: We may not readily admit it, but most of us have an innate desire to be in control, right? It could be from an ego that has convinced us that we are the … Continue reading
