Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 120 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.

“WELL DONE FAITHFUL SERVANT” or “I NEVER KNEW YOU, AWAY FROM ME!”

BIBLE PASSAGE: Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ (Matthew 7:23) MEDITATION: Jesus tells us that some who think they know the Lord have failed in establishing a relationship with Him. Some may say they know Him and that they are Christians, but at the end of … Continue reading

HOW CAN OTHERS DETECT THAT YOUR FAITH IN THE LORD HAS CHANGED YOU?

BIBLE PASSAGE: He must increase, but I must decrease. (John 3:30) MEDITATION: Self-centeredness could very well be the basic cause of a lot of the distress in life. Hypochondria (a mental disorder which is accompanied by melancholy and depression), can be caused by self-pity and self-centeredness. We can develop all-consuming thoughts of ourselves and fail … Continue reading

HOW MUCH DO YOU RESPECT GOD AND HIS GUIDELINES?

BIBLE PASSAGE: Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. (Romans 10:3) MEDITATION: No doubt there are many Christians who want to live closer to the Lord, but are struggling to do so. It could be the result of a selfish … Continue reading

HOW GOD TURNED A NEGATIVE INTO A POSITIVE FOR ME

You know, sometimes we need circumstances in our lives so God can remind us that He hears and answers our prayers. In the early stages of an issue or problem, we can be taken out of our comfort zone, but later we can fully appreciate His presence. I had one of those “circumstances” in my … Continue reading

ALWAYS GIVE THANKS FOR THE BLESSINGS GOD HAS GIVEN YOU

BIBLE PASSAGE: The LORD will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest. (Psalm 85:12) MEDITATION: In the year 2014, the median household income in America across all jobs was $51,936 per year. How does that stack up with the rest of the world? The median household income worldwide is a … Continue reading

THE LORD OFFERS A PEACE THE WORLD CANNOT PROVIDE

BIBLE PASSAGE: These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world you will have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33) MEDITATION: There is an enormous difference when comparing what the world has to offer, to the promises from the Lord. … Continue reading

DO YOU HAVE A DESIRE FOR STRENGTH, SECURITY, AND PEACE?

BIBLE PASSAGE: He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God. And they will live securely, for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth. And he will be their peace. (Micah 5:4-5) MEDITATION: Sometimes people miss … Continue reading

BECAUSE HE LOVES US, GOD CORRECTS US WHEN WE ARE OFF COURSE

BIBLE PASSAGE: Correct me, LORD, but only with justice — not in Your anger, lest You reduce me to nothing. (Jeremiah 10:24) MEDITATION: I think we could all agree than none of us relish being corrected. When we were children, correction usually meant punishment for something we did wrong. When we are adults and children … Continue reading

GRACE: GOD’S LOVE EXPRESSED TO MANKIND

BIBLE PASSAGE: Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. (John 1:16) MEDITATION: The ultimate expression of God’s love for mankind is grace. Grace is best described as giving us what we do not deserve. This is different from mercy, which means not giving us what we do … Continue reading

EXPRESSING APPRECIATION FOR THE ONE WHO LOVES US MOST

BIBLE PASSAGE: Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the LORD or fully declare his praise? (Psalm 106:2) DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT: “Almighty!” is one of the names for God. He is everything we can envision that is good, right, and holy. But He is so much more! He is more than we can imagine and more … Continue reading
