Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.

WE CAN (should) LEARN A LOT DURING DIFFICULT TIMES

BIBLE PASSAGE: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28) MEDITATION: Most everyone experiences a time when everything seems to go south in their life. And when that happens, others may say to us, or we … Continue reading

WHEN WE ARE SAVED, WE RECEIVE THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD!

BIBLE PASSAGE: So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. (Ephesians 4:17) MEDITATION: Christianity is not just another religion. It is the life of God living within and flowing out of the believer. Other religions … Continue reading

THE LORD HAS NOT ABANDONED YOU, EVEN IF YOU HAVE TURNED AWAY FROM HIM

BIBLE PASSAGE: Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word. You are good, and what you do is good; teach me your decrees. (Psalm 119:67-68) MEDITATION: Satan wants to destroy our relationship with the Lord; he wants to distort our thinking so we will turn further away from our Savior. … Continue reading

YES, YOUR LIFE CAN BE ENRICHED!

BIBLE PASSAGE: For in Him you have been enriched in every way – in all your speaking and in all your knowledge. (1 Corinthians 1:5) MEDITATION: The word “enrichment” means “to make something more meaningful, substantial, or rewarding”. Enrichment improves and makes things more valuable by adding or increasing desirable qualities and attributes. This is … Continue reading

BREAKING THE CHAINS THAT DAMAGE OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD

BIBLE PASSAGE: Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. (Psalm 107:1) MEDITATION: When we pray, quite often we petition the Lord to answer our requests, but how much time do we spend thanking Him for His goodness and love? The psalmist understood and appreciated all the Lord did for … Continue reading

SEEKING HELP FOR DEALING WITH WORRIES AND FEARS

A blogging friend devoted an entire month to the subject of “fear”. She asked if I would contribute a couple of devotionals that she could include on her site Seeking God Daily (check out her Blog sometime). Over the years, the Lord has sent me several devotionals on the topic of fear and I thought … Continue reading

SATAN IS NOT A FANTASY; HIS ATTACKS ON US ARE SUBTLE AND REAL

BIBLE PASSAGE: I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. (Psalm 119:15) MEDITATION: Psalm 119:9 asks, “How can a young person stay on the path of purity?” and answers, “By living according to your word.” It means we do more than just read God’s Word, we integrate His principles into our lives. The words … Continue reading

SHOWING APPRECIATION FOR GOD’S BLESSINGS

BIBLE PASSAGE: Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. (1 Corinthians 9:19) MEDITATION: There are three basic reasons for obedience. A slave obeys because he has to; an employee obeys because he needs to; but a loving son obeys … Continue reading

BEING THANKFUL FOR OUR HEAVENLY FATHER WHO UNDERSTANDS WHAT WE DON’T

BIBLE PASSAGE: God understands the way to it (wisdom) and he alone knows where it dwells, for he views the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens. When he established the force of the wind and measured out the waters, when he made a decree for the rain and a path for … Continue reading

COPING WITH THE VALLEYS IN OUR LIVES

BIBLE PASSAGE: “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4) MEDITATION: If we were to be totally honest, all of us have had times when we are in a valley. Sometimes … Continue reading
