Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 120 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.

ARE YOU A SLAVE TO IMPURITY OR RIGHTEOUSNESS?

BIBLE PASSAGE: I put this in human terms because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to every-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness. (Romans 6:19) MEDITATION: Have you ever heard someone explaining … Continue reading

WHEN DOES GOD SAY HE WILL HEAL OUR LAND?

BIBLE PASSAGE: Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord. (Lamentations 3:40) MEDITATION: If we conducted a survey, more than likely most of us would agree that many people of the world are not being drawn toward God, but instead, are being lured by the things of the … Continue reading

TIRED OF LOSING? WANT TO BE A WINNER?

BIBLE PASSAGE: No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. (Romans 8:37) MEDITATION: Do you ever have feelings that you are a loser? Do you feel that other people seem to win at everything, but you seldom enjoy being victorious. Others may be more talented or athletic than … Continue reading

WHO CONTROLS YOUR LIFE: YOU, OR THE HOLY SPIRIT?

BIBLE PASSAGE: Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; … Continue reading

NEED SOME GUIDANCE FOR CHRISTIAN LIVING?

BIBLE PASSAGE(s): Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. (Philippians 2:3) And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us … Continue reading

SHOULD TRIALS BE ENCOURAGING PHASES OF MY LIFE?

BIBLE PASSAGE: My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. (James 1:2-4) MEDITATION: How could a person be joyful while going through trials? Have you ever … Continue reading

DEALING WITH UNEXPECTED CHANGES

While digging through my archives of the Sunday School lessons the Lord gave me, I found this from 1993 (it was not from me – if only I could articulate this well). —————————————————————————————————— Life holds seasons of change for everyone.   There will always be ups and downs – fluctuations and changes in feelings, and … Continue reading

AS A CHRISTIAN, WHAT SHOULD OTHERS SEE IN ME?

BIBLE PASSAGE: Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. (Colossians 3:16) MEDITATION: Have you ever thought about the kind of an attitude a Christian should have? Believers … Continue reading

IS READING THE BIBLE REALLY THAT IMPORTANT?

BIBLE PASSAGE: For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. (Romans 15:4) MEDITATION: We hear a lot about ‘hope’ for those who believe in the Lord, but what does that really mean? Where can we find … Continue reading
