THE PATIENCE AND THE WRATH OF GOD!

BIBLE PASSAGE:
“To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles
the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you,
the hope of glory.”
(Colossians 1:27)

MEDITATION:
When we examine the world we live in today,
we can easily see that mankind has assumed that
it can save itself, and therefore does not need God.
People are still creating their own graven images
and developing their own ideologies, which exclude God.

God has been taken out of the schools and there
are efforts underway to remove Him completely
from every venue.

Removing God is bad enough in and of itself, but even
worse, man is trying to redefine what God has ordained,
and the sad (and scary) part is, they are having success.

God creates every human being in the womb,
but man has decided that it is okay to destroy
what God has created, and for what?
For convenience!

Man has redefined when life begins and chosen
to ignore when God actually creates a living person.
At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill
country of Judea, where she entered Zechariah’s home and
greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting,
the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with
the Holy Spirit. (Luke 1:39-41)
As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears,
the baby in my womb leaped for joy. (Luke 1:44)
Protoplasm doesn’t leap in a womb, but a human being does!

God created man and woman to be bonded in marriage,
however our world has decided that God’s definition
of marriage is incomplete, or incorrect.
Mankind has added man and man, or woman and woman
as acceptable marriages; and some are even marrying
their dogs, or other animals.

The world has determined that God should not
be a part of mankind’s life in any capacity.
Social engineers have been busy with their efforts
to create a new society which is completely devoid of God.

However, each time they feel they have “corrected”
one area where, in their opinion, God has failed,
another area surfaces which they feel they need to address.
Redefining God’s laws to appease the desires of one group of
people, will become an infringement on another group of people,
which causes more problems for a disjointed and ungodly world.

Whenever God is excluded, man will remain restless, and
will continue in his efforts to create a utopian environment.
Although man is convinced he doesn’t need God’s help
with economic or social issues, each person still has a
soul within them that is crying out for God’s presence.

God is patient with mankind for one reason:
He does not want anyone to perish.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand
slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to
perish, but everyone to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

However we are warned that at some point God’s
patience will expire, and man will face His wrath.
For many years you were patient with them. By your Spirit
you warned them through your prophets. Yet they paid no
attention, so you gave them into the hands of the neighboring
peoples. (Nehemiah 9:30)

Then Moses said to Aaron, “Take your censer and put incense
in it, along with burning coals from the altar, and hurry to the
assembly to make atonement for them. Wrath has come out
from the Lord; the plague has started.” (Numbers 16:46)

Question:
Could the pandemic (plague) be a sign to mankind
that God’s patience is over and we are facing His wrath?
We don’t know for sure, but it might be.

Many have silenced their soul in order to
fulfill their own desires to be in total control.
Talk to anyone who has NOT silenced the voice of
his soul and has instead, invited God into his life.

Ask them if they have become less restless and
discovered a new level of peace and contentment.
Ask them if they have a new and more positive outlook on life.
Ask them if they are happier
and worry less than they did prior to their decision.

ACTION:
God tells us that Christ can live in each of us, and
when He does our entire life will change dramatically.
We are given a new hope; a hope (faith) that we will
spend an eternity with our almighty Father whom
the world is trying to suppress and eliminate.

No matter who we are, we all have the same
opportunity for Christ to live in us.

Are you living a life of frustration?
Are you consumed with worries that seem to have no solution?
Do you feel you are constantly suffering
from the world pressuring you to “keep up”?
Have you joined those who want to eliminate the presence of God?

Have you invited Jesus into your heart?
Do others know that Jesus lives in you
by what they observe in your own life?

Pray,
“Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise that Christ can
live in me. Forgive me if I have not invited Him into my life,
or if I have excluded Him from certain areas of my life. I need
the presence of Your Spirit, because You fill the emptiness
and the longing of my soul. I invite You to not only come into
my life, but to also take control of my life. Help me to show
others that I have submitted to You completely by the way I live
and the things that I say and do. The world may want to suppress
and eliminate Your presence, but that is not my desire. I need
You to bring order into my life, and rearrange my priorities. I
know that when Jesus lives within me, I will be blessed in ways
that the world can never match. Thank you for loving me; I love
You Lord!”

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
