GOD IS FAITHFUL IN FORGIVING!

BIBLE PASSAGE:
God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship
with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
(1 Corinthians 1:9)

MEDITATION:
Have you ever thought about God’s faithfulness?
If you have, then you can probably
list many areas where He has been faithful.

One of the most important areas of God’s faithfulness
is found in the book of John.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will
forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
(John 1:9)

ACTION:
Wouldn’t it be sad to think you have done something and
yet, you don’t know whether or not God will forgive you?
What a joy to know that every time, any time, and all the time,
if we confess our sin, God is ‘faithful and just’ to not only forgive
us for our sin, but to also cleanse us of all unrighteousness.

When we confess our sin, we need to be specific about the sins
we have committed, and express our desire for God’s forgiveness
along with our desire to abstain from the sins going forward.
The God who created us, and saved us, wants to keep us.
We need to develop the same desire for righteousness
that God wants for us.

Pray,
“Heavenly Father, thank You for your assurance that I can
be forgiven when I am honest and confess that I have sinned.
Teach me how to reject accusations from Satan that I am
unworthy to be forgiven for the sins I have committed; that
is not what Your Word says! Remind me that in all things I
am unworthy, but because You are a gracious and merciful
Father, and because of the love and sacrifice of Jesus, I can
be considered worthy of forgiveness whenever I confess my
sins with a contrite heart.”

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
