DEVILISH DECEPTIONS OF THE ANTICHRIST

BIBLE PASSAGE:
As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came
to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen,
and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
(Matthew 24:3)

MEDITATION:
There is coming to this earth such devilish
deception as we have never seen before.
Jesus said,
“For false messiahs and false prophets will appear
and perform great signs and wonders to deceive,
if possible, even the elect.” (Matthew 24:24).

Did you get that?
If it were possible, Satan would
deceive the very children of God!

Our intellect or good intentions
will not keep us from being deceived.
Only the Holy Spirit of God will help us
to see clearly in these days in which we live.

Satan is coming and he is going to take command.
He will have incredible power and influence.
He will be Satan in human flesh,
just as Jesus Christ was God in human flesh.

Satan is not against religion.
In fact, he uses religion for his purposes.
The temptation in the Garden of Eden
was not for Adam and Eve to fall down,
it was for them to fall up.
He told them – “You can be like God” (Genesis 3).

Satan does not want casualties, he wants converts.
Satan wants worship.
We can see evidence of Satan’s influence
in some of those in leadership positions today.

Satan has influenced the enactment of laws
which are in direct opposition to God’s laws.
We see leaders who feel free to lie, cheat,
and many other things in order to get elected;
they are naïve and have become
faithful servants of the evil one.

True believers can easily see Satan’s
handiwork becoming more prominent
in the areas of politics and leadership.
Dishonesties which used to be disguised or hidden,
are now blatantly displayed with no shame or remorse.

It’s hard to understand how people can become faithful
to the evil one who is full of lies, and offers nothing.
But, that shows the power of his influence on people.
Instead of embracing the One who offers everything
(now and eternally), many have (and will) fall prey
to the offer of temporary pleasures
which results in “paradise lost”.

ACTION:
If we believe the Bible is God’s Word and trustworthy
then we should not be surprised to see the increase of
Satan’s impact on the world we live in.
As followers of Christ, it does not mean we throw
up our hands as if we have lost all hope.

We should embrace our hope in Christ even more.
As Satan’s influence increases, the Lord’s return
is hastened which should be exciting to His family,
with one exception: the sense of urgency to see other
people come to Christ for salvation is heightened.

God has given each of us specific spiritual gifts for
contributing to His kingdom’s work.
With these gifts, we can bring light to an ever-darkening
world and to those who are destined for eternal condemnation.

Pray,
“Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word and how it assures
me that regardless of what is going on in this world, You will
always remain in control. Thank You for Your promises to those
who have received Your salvation and can look forward to the
return of Your Son, Jesus. Help me to realize that you have given
me spiritual gifts to be used for Your purposes, and help me to find
ways of using them to glorify You and to point others to Jesus.”
