BIBLE MEDITATION:
“That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame,
because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is
able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.”
(2 Timothy 1:12)
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
It is NOT a miracle that we know about Jesus Christ,
but it IS a miracle that we know Jesus Christ today.
Knowing Him is far greater than knowing about Him.
We can read a book about Abraham Lincoln, but we don’t know him.
We know Jesus Christ because He has revealed Himself to us.
He is no longer an ambiguous character we read about,
but when God saved us, Jesus became real to us.
Through prayer we can freely speak to the Lord throughout the day.
The Holy Spirit reveals God to those who surrender their lives to the Lord.
Without the Spirit, we would have no understanding of
the value of a relationship with God, through His Son Jesus Christ.
It is no surprise that lost souls cannot understand what it means to
have an intimate connection with the Lord, because they do not know Him.
How wonderful it is that God has chosen
to know us through His Son, by way of the Holy Spirit.
We have a constant companion and advocate in the promised Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is not only our teacher, but He is our protector
who is protecting the interests of God in His children every day.
ACTION POINT:
Is Jesus Christ real to you?
What is preventing you from having an intimate relationship with the Savior?
Pray,
“Lord, with all my heart, with all I am, I want to know You more.
I want our relationship to be closer and my faith to grow daily.
Cleanse me and make me all that You want me to be. I surrender
my life to You.”

About Don Woodruff
Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
