DEVOTIONALS

MANKIND’S PROBLEMS CAN ONLY BE RESOLVED THROUGH ONE SOURCE

BIBLE PASSAGE:
Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart
of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
(1 Corinthians 2:9)

MEDITATION:
Mankind has a problem.
As a result of sin, we live in a broken world with all kinds of difficulties.
Too many believe these problems can be fixed while excluding the Lord.
Some manmade fixes may appear to resolve problems, but when God
is excluded, the fixes are temporary, and can frequently lead to other issues.

Too often man’s attempts to fix a problem for some people,
results in creating problems for others.
For instance, man wants to create a universal tolerance of the sin
that opposes God’s Word, with the idea that this will create national unity.
Freedom of speech is promoted, but only if it excludes anything related
to our Creator, because that might be offensive to some.

There is a flawed concept that if one group is forced to freely accept the
sinfulness of others, this will somehow bring harmony into the world.
This fixes nothing, but merely shifts the pain from one group (steeped in sin)
to another group (who have chosen to follow the Lord and His righteousness).

When the actions of people are in opposition to God,
mankind’s efforts will not resolve their issues and they will
remain frustrated because their actions aren’t accepted by everyone.
Forcing Christians to accept sinfulness or face punishment,
will never result in resolving any problems.

God is the “Fixer” and He has a simple plan for all those who love Him.
Not just a “say so” love for Him,
but an active love that is a result of a changed life.
His blessings are for those who have willingly
crossed over the barrier that separates man from God.

God has His hand extended
with a promise to bless those who genuinely love Him.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
(Matthew 11:28)
However, too many have said in their hearts,
“No thank You God, I don’t need Your blessings, I can handle things myself”.

God wants good things for the people He has created,
and He has done everything to prove His love for mankind,
including sending His Son to the cross to die for every one of us.
Satan doesn’t want anyone to enjoy the Lord’s blessings,
and has convinced many that if they surrender to God,
they will give up their independence, and that would be a bad thing.

But his lie hides the fact that when God is in control,
our lives become enriched through His blessings.
Additionally, those who have rejected the Lord are not independent either,
they are still under the control of Satan.

At the close of the Bible we encounter these words,
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven
and the first earth were passed away.” (Revelation 21:1)
A new world is coming!
Each time we pray in the Lord’s Prayer, “Thy kingdom come”
we should remember that our prayer will be answered.

Heaven is described as a new creation devoid of the problems of sin,
where we will receive new bodies, sing new songs, and live in a new city
with a new form of government that includes genuine social justice for all.
All of this will take place because sin is absent, God is in control,
and all of its residents are people who love God and each other.

The paradise that man lost will be regained
and we will experience life as God intended it to be.
Utopia will finally become a reality
for those who have put their trust and hope in the Lord.

ACTION:
Don’t miss out on God’s blessings by believing the lies of Satan.
Rather than continuing a life of frustration,
reach out to the One who loves you and can help you with your problems.

Pray,
“Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promises to those who love You.
I pray that I will always come to You first whenever I have problems,
hurts, frustrations, or am discouraged.”

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
