BIBLE PASSAGE:
For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.
It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to
live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while
we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great
God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us
from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his
very own, eager to do what is good.
(Titus 2:11-14)
MEDITATION:
If you are a Christian, one good way to get rid of discouragement
is to remember that Christ is coming again.
The most thrilling, glorious truth in the entire world
is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
When we look around and see pessimism on every side, we should remember that
the Bible is the only Book in the world that accurately predicts the future.
It is more modern than tomorrow morning’s newspaper.
It accurately foretells the future, and it says that the conclusion
of all things will be the coming again of Jesus Christ to this earth.
Did you notice how His grace changes us when we are saved?
We develop the capability of recognizing ungodliness for what it is
and the ability to say “No” to it whenever it tries to invade our lives.
We learn to live a life of self-control
that does not yield to every temptation.
With our new life in Christ, we are able to live upright and godly lives.
Our eagerness to do what is good is evidence that we have been changed.
ACTION:
Has your life been changed by the grace of God?
If you are a child of God and your life is dismal, depressed,
and gloomy today, the clouds of depression and discouragement
can be removed through Jesus Christ.
The sunlight of His love can still shine into the darkest part of your life.
Pray,
“Heavenly Father, thank You for the grace of Your salvation. Thank
You for how I have been changed as a result of Your gift. Help me to
embrace the changes You have made in me, and to be encouraged as
I enjoy living a life that is more pleasing to You. Teach me to focus
on living a life of self-control, with an eagerness to do what is good,
so I can confidently refuse to allow ungodliness in my life. Thank
You for the blissful hope of the return of Your Son, Jesus Christ.”

About Don Woodruff
Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
