DEVOTIONALS

DOES GOD REALLY EXIST? HOW CAN I KNOW?

BIBLE PASSAGE:
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His
hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display
knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.
(Psalm 19:1-3)

MEDITATION:
How do you answer someone when they ask, “Where is God?”
The Psalmist had no problem with answering that question.
He basically said, “He is everywhere, look around and observe His presence!”
Too many fail to appreciate His existence,
because they do not take the time to observe the evidence of His presence.

Nature has its own language and it speaks of the existence of God.
It is the language of order, beauty, creation and perfection.
A scientist once said that
“when he gave serious thought to the majestic order of the universe
and its obedience to unchanging law, he could not help but believe in God”.
He became aware that God was speaking through nature.

God speaks through the certainty and regularity of the seasons.
He speaks through the precision of the movements of the sun,
the moon, and the stars.
He speaks through the consistent arrival of night and day.
He speaks in the cry of a newborn child reminding us of the miracle of life.

He speaks in the balance between man’s consumption of life-giving oxygen
and its production and availability by the plant life of the earth.
He speaks to us through the whisper of the wind,
and in the personal thoughts we have regarding right and wrong.

ACTION:
Have you taken the time to notice and appreciate God’s presence in the world?
How about His presence in your own life?
Have you ever stopped and imagined awesome it is that the God of the
universe loves you and wants what is best for you, including eternal life?
Don’t miss out on sensing and responding to His presence in the world.

Pray,
“Heavenly Father, thank You for how You exhibit Your presence in the
world. Knowing of, and sensing Your presence gives me assurance that I
have hope. Not only my hope of eternal life, but also confidence that You
want what is best for me in my daily life. Thank You for sending Your
Son, Who made it possible for me to receive Your salvation. Father, I
pray that You would help me to be aware of Your presence daily, and to
live my life in obedience to Your desires.”

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
