FINDING RELIEF FOR A LIFE CHURNING WITH TURMOIL AND DISAPPOINTMENT

SCRIPTURE:
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
(Hebrews 13:8)

MEDITATION:
We live in a rapidly changing world where things can become chaotic at times.
However, God has established some things that are unchangeable,
regardless of the efforts of man.
The Bible says, “…people are destined to die once…” (Hebrews 9:27).
To the average person this seems like a stark and hopeless situation.

As a result, many philosophies and different religions
have been created to try and circumvent the Word of God.
Modern philosophers and psychologists are still trying
to make it appear that there is some way out other than the path of Jesus.
Each person has to make a decision to either believe the Bible is the
infallible truth created by God and written by inspired men under His
guidance, or to assume it is a fictional novel created by man alone.

Christ came to give us the solution to the three problems
of sin, sorrow, and death.
Our world changes often, but it is Jesus Christ who is enduring and
unchanging, “the same yesterday, today, and forever”.
Man can try to ‘write Him off’ or redefine Him,
but Christ remains unchangeable.

In the restless sea of human passions and emotions,
Christ stands steadfast, calm and ready to welcome
all who will turn to Him and accept His blessings of safety and peace.
Man can create a constant churn of turmoil,
but we are living in an age of grace,
where God promises that anyone may come and receive peace through His Son.
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice
and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person,
and they with me. (Revelation 3:20)

ACTION:
Are you experiencing the blessings of God’s grace?
Have you turned to Jesus and totally surrendered your life to Him?
You may be suffering the agony of sorrow, depression, anger, loneliness
or any other kind of emotional trauma.

Man can provide some things to numb these feelings of despair,
but only the Lord can provide genuine relief for gloom and anguish.
You can either decide to believe God’s Word and ‘try Jesus’,
or reject Him in hopes than man can provide the help you need.

Pray,
“Heavenly Father, I believe Your Word as truth and that Jesus died so
that my sins would be covered by His blood and I could appear righteous
before You. I may not fully understand everything in the Bible, but I want
to start by placing my confidence in the unchanging Jesus who sacrificed
Himself to provide hope for me and everyone else. In my despair, I now
realize Jesus is available, beyond the capabilities of man. I pray that You
would guide me and encourage me as I take this monumental step to place
my trust in the truths of Your Word.”

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
