DEVOTIONALS

WHAT WILL DETERMINE IF YOUR LIFE ON EARTH HAS BEEN A FAILURE OR SUCCESS?

BIBLE PASSAGE:
In hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie,
promised before the world began.
(Titus 1:2)

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Have you ever thought about this – once you are born, you will live forever?
You might want to correct me by saying that, “People are dying all the time”.
Of course the body that houses our souls will eventually die out,
but our souls continue to live forever.

We will either go to live forever with a new body in Heaven,
or we will be sentenced to an eternal death and separation from God.
In either case, we will live on after our bodies stop functioning.
Compared to eternity, we have a brief time on earth
to make a choice of where our soul will continue to live.

Our life on earth is our opportunity to be conditioned for eternity.
No matter what kind of successes we have, if we squander this opportunity,
our life will have been a failure.
There is no escape for anyone
who wastes his opportunity to prepare to meet God.

The Bible teaches us that life does not end at the cemetery
(this is why it is important to spend time reading God’s Word).
There is a future life with God
for those who put their trust in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Placing our faith and trust in Him
is the most important decision we will ever make.

ACTION POINT:
Have you made your choice of where you will spend eternity?
If you have not made a choice, then you have made your decision.

Pray,
“Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise that those who believe in You
and Your Son, Jesus Christ will be invited to spend eternity in Heaven. Help
me to realize that my time on earth is very brief when compared to life after
my physical death. Impress on me the importance of preparing now for how I
will spend eternity. Teach me how to use the talents and gifts You have given
me to serve You, so that I might share Your promises with those around me.
Thank You for my eternal life in Christ, and for the peace that comes over
me because of this triumphant promise!”

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
