LIVING UNDER GOD’S WRATH CAN WEIGH YOU DOWN, CAN’T IT?

SCRIPTURE:
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever
rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.”
(John 3:36)

MEDITATION:
We are all God’s creation; we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Psalm 139:14)

It’s kind of ironic, isn’t it?
Even though we are God’s creation, we are born with His wrath on us.
Why would we have His wrath?
Because we are born into sin; in other words we have a sinful nature.
Since God is righteous and sin is in opposition to Him,
sinful people are subjected to His wrath.

But there’s more…..
God loves His creations so much
that He wants to remove His wrath from individuals.
In His matchless wisdom,
He has provided a plan for people to move out from under His wrath.

God offered every individual an opportunity to escape His wrath
when He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross
as a living sacrifice for our sins.
His plan is so awesome that we don’t have to do anything to receive His
offer of salvation, other than believe everything in His Word is true,
which includes believing that Jesus died for our sins.

Some want to make salvation much more complicated
because it is difficult to accept a gift of that magnitude from God
without feeling an obligation to do something to earn it.
Those who sincerely receive His gift will have a natural desire
to do something for God out of appreciation for their salvation.

Once we believe in His Son and surrender our life to Him,
God’s wrath is removed from us.
However, for those who reject believing in Jesus,
God’s wrath remains on them and it will continue into eternity
where they are condemned to hell forever.

ACTION:
Does God’s wrath still remain on you?
Wouldn’t you like to have it removed?
Follow God’s simple plan: believe in His Son and surrender your life to Him.
Then, make your decision public so others will know that you are now living
a new life, committed to the Lord with a desire to please Him in all you do.

Pray,
“Heavenly Father, thank You for providing a way for Your wrath to be
removed from me. Forgive me for living for myself with no consideration
of You as my Heavenly Father. I believe in Your Son, not as just a fact
that He existed, but that He died for my sins and will live in my heart
and guide me in all that I do. Thank You, Jesus, for what You did for me
so that I can no longer be under the weight of God’s wrath.”

I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
