SCRIPTURE:
You know the message God sent to the people of Israel,
telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ,
who is Lord of all.
(Acts 10:36)
MEDITATION:
Have you ever dreamed about a world that is free of the troubles of human nature?
In other words, wouldn’t it be nice if we could give everyone in the human race
a shot in the arm that would fill them with love instead of hate.
If only we could give a pill to everyone
that would fill them with contentment instead of greed.
While we are dreaming, what it a cure could be found
for the past mistakes, failures and sins of mankind?
Suppose by some miracle all the past could be straightened out.
If only all of life’s tangles could be unraveled
and the broken strings of life could be repaired.
According to the scriptures there is good news!
A medicine has been provided and there is a cure!
The sin, confusion and disillusionment of life can be replaced
by righteousness, joy, contentment and happiness.
We can experience a peace that is not dependent on outward circumstances.
God’s Word promises that our soul can find peace and rest through Jesus Christ.
The scriptures include the message that “Jesus is Lord of all”.
That means that in order to experience peace through Jesus,
we need to give Him a special place in our life as Lord of our all.
This can be a difficult choice for many people who always want to be in control.
The problem is, they have an attitude that, “Nobody can tell me what to do!”
As long as that thought dominates our mind,
we will most likely never yield our will to the Lord’s Will.
We may be settling for what we think is good,
and missing out on something much better.
Why? Because it goes without saying
that His Will is far better and wiser than our own will.
ACTION:
Do you have a restlessness that prevents you from experiencing peace in your life?
Are you still charting your own path,
instead of submitting to your directives from the Lord?
Are you one of the many that we often see with tension in their faces
and have trouble relaxing and enjoying those around them?
Do you find yourself “blowing up” when things do not go your way?
This can happen whenever we insist on being in total control of ourselves.
If you are tired of worrying, being tense and having anger issues,
then there is a good chance that you are still selfishly holding on to some
things, and have not allowed Jesus to be Lord of your life.
Wouldn’t you like to trade tension for a relaxed state of mind,
worry for peace, and anger for unconditional love?
When you make Him Lord of your life, your entire life and attitude will change as
you experience the peace that is promised to those who totally submit to the Lord.
Pray,
“Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing another wonderful promise
You have made to all mankind. You know me better than I know myself,
which means that you understand the attitudes and selfishness that is
preventing me from experiencing the peace You have promised. I am
tired and frustrated with myself for the restlessness that not only makes
me miserable, but also impacts those around me. My wrong reactions to
issues just frustrate me even more and I end up not even liking myself,
so how could I expect others to like me? Show me the areas of my life
that I am still trying to control and teach me to totally submit to You
and Your Will for my life. Thank You in advance for the peace You
will bring into my life!”

I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
