TROUBLES – PART OF GOD’S PLAN FOR YOU?

“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.”
Psalm 42:5

Here’s a thought to have during the storms of life:
“I am growing through His plan.”
What is God’s plan for you?
He wants to enlarge you, not indulge you.
God is more interested in making you holy
than He is making you happy and healthy.
Sometimes God will allow troubles to make you more like Christ.
Think about the times when you have grown the most.
Isn’t it when you had troubles in your life?
When we face insurmountable problems that we can’t handle,
we often call on the Lord and have a desire to be closer to Him.
When the troubles are behind us, too often we revert back to
the unholy attitudes and habits we had prior to our stormy times.
Instead, it should be a time of reflecting on the Lord’s
availability and help – which should make us want to grow more holy.
Some have grown the most during the times of deepest despair.

Can you look at the troubles in your life,
not as adversities, but as friends?
Take a second look and get a godly perspective of it.
See how you can become holy through hardship.

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
