SUCCESS FOR BELIEVERS

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Then you will be able to test and approve what
God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Romans 12:2

The one who dies with the most toys wins.
Is that success?
Having your dreams come true?
Getting all you want?
Earning enough money so that you never have to work again?

That is the world’s idea of success,
but what is true success for believers?
Success is the progressive realization of the will of God for your life.
It is finding out daily what His will is for you.
His will could change based on our spiritual maturity;
it may not, but it could.

Success is not how much money you have.
Success is not how famous you are.
Success is not how healthy you are.
Success is not how many friends you have or how many toys you have acquired.
Success is nothing more, nothing less,
than the progressive realization of the will of God for your life.

Do you want to know God’s will?
Do you want your heart’s desire to come true?

Read Micah 6:8.
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

What does God require of you?

Read Psalm 37:4.
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

What is God calling you to do?

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
