TOT – That One Thing (GOD’S PLAN FOR YOU)

“I press on toward the goal to win the prize
for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
 Philippians 3:14

The devil would love to get you distracted
and get you off the course on which God has placed you.
He strives to make any number of ‘other things’ more attractive.
He thrives in discouraging you from following God’s plan for your life.
God has something He wants you to do,
so don’t substitute good (or atractive) for the best.
Find out what God wants you to do
and refuse to be distracted by the devil.
You need to say as the apostle Paul said,
“This one thing I do!” (Philippians 3:13)
Know what it is that God wants you to do
and do it with all your strength for His glory!
He saved you so that you can be with Him one day,
but He also saved you to serve Him before that day.
Satan will try to blind you into thinking that
whatever God wants you to do is work
so that you will fail to see the blessings of serving Him.
Not only personal blessings, but blessing that others
experience because you obediently serve Him.
Isn’t that what we all desire – to be blessed and see others blessed?

Take a few minutes and think about a mission statement
for your life in Christ, focusing on “that one thing” (TOT)
that God has called you to do.
Then, remind yourself to stay focused on
the calling of God for your life.

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
