“To the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.”
Ephesians 1:6
Many people have the idea that God is going to grade on the curve.
We say to ourselves, “We’re bad, but we’re not as bad as somebody else”.
But God doesn’t grade on a curve.
As a matter of fact, James said in James chapter 2:10,
“For whosoever shall keep the whole law,
and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”
God demands absolute perfection and none of us can provide it.
That’s why we need the gospel.
That’s why we need to fellowship with other believers.
That’s why we need the righteousness of God
that comes by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Can you say that you’ve always kept ALL of God’s Ten Commandments?
You may say, “I’ve only broken one”.
That’s probably not true, but let’s suppose you have only broken one.
Does that one sin keep you out of heaven?
Let’s illustrate it this way:
Let’s say there is a man dangling over a fire by a chain of ten links.
Nine of those links are made of forged steel and one is made of crepe paper.
Is that man saved from the fire?
Think about the “needs” in the Devotional Thought above.
Are there any of those three that are missing in your life?
Have you believed in the Lord Jesus Christ?
Do you get a daily dose of the gospel (reading God’s Word)?
Do you fellowship with other believers?

NOTE:
Hebrews 10:24-25 tells us that this is a ‘command’ from God.
If we are sincere in our faith, we will want to obey this command.
If we are sincere in our faith, we will want to obey this command.
Don’t let Satan use stubborness or selfishness (or any other excuse)
to keep you away from God’s house.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,
not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one
another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
