DON’T BELIEVE THE LIES OF THE EVIL ONE

BIBLE PASSAGE:
“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that
in all things at all times, having all that you need,
you will abound in every good work.”
(2 Corinthians 9:8)

MEDITATION:
The devil wants you to live your life from an empty cup.
He wants you to think that God’s cup of grace has dried
up for you. He wants you to be disenchanted with God.

Most especially, he wants you to feel that God is a kind
of cosmic killjoy; that God is always thinking of ways to
rob you of joy and peace.

Satan knows that if you start to feel negatively about God,
then he can have his way with you in other areas.

Take courage and be strong. Jesus has won the victory for you!
Pray for those lies to be sent back to the pit where they came
from and claim the promises of God.

ACTION:
When Satan’s lies start to enter your mind, whisper to the Lord,
“Lord I trust you. Remove these thoughts from my mind”

Be reminded of what James says:
“When tempted, no one should say,
‘God is tempting me.’ For God cannot be
      tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;
but each person is tempted when they are
dragged away by their own evil desire and
enticed. Then, after desire has conceived,
it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is
      full-grown, gives birth to death.”
      (James 1:13-15)

Pray,
“Heavenly Father, close my ears and mind to the
lies of Satan. Smother my mind with the promises
from You. Fill me with the Holy Spirit so that I
will refrain from allowing Satan to tempt me with
his lies. Remind me to always love and trust You
in all things. You are my heavenly Father, and You
will lead me in the right direction at all times. Thank
You for Your love, forgiveness and guidance!”

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
