DEVOTIONALS

WHO MEETS YOUR NEEDS?

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the
joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame,
and  is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews 12:2

What does it mean to “look to Jesus” to have all of our needs met?
Well, let’s say you borrow ten thousand dollars from Dan, a friend of yours,
but then you discover that you can’t pay it back.
Dan is on to you and says,
“If you don’t pay it back, I’m going to foreclose on you.”
So you go over to another friend, Tom,
and tell him about your dire situation and ask for his help.
Tom says,
“That’s alright, look to me.”
Notice that he didn’t say, “Look AT me.”
He said, “Look TO me.”
In other words, “I’ll handle it.”
That’s what the Bible means when it says “look to Jesus.”
It means look unto Him for whatever you need.

Who is looking to you to have their needs met today?
Are you, then, looking to God or are you trying to do it on your own?

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
