DEVOTIONALS

ARE YOU ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL?

Are you ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ?
Are you ashamed to put a Bible on your desk at work?
Are you ashamed to bow your head in prayer in the cafeteria or restaurant?
Are you ashamed to invite people to Jesus Christ?
Are you ashamed to go to church and worship with other believers?
Are you ashamed of the One who died for you?
Some folks may say,
“Well, I just don’t believe in wearing my faith on my sleeve.”

A little boy had a dog and somebody asked him what kind of dog he was.
The little fellow said,
    “He’s a police dog.”
But, everyone could see that he was just a mongrel.
The friend replied,
“Well, he doesn’t look like a police dog.”
The little guy said,
    “He’s in the secret service.”
There may be many believers who are in the secret service.
Remaining undercover instead of being open, bold and unashamed about their faith.
In spite of the problems he faced due to his faith, Paul said,
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel,
because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes:
first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”
     (Romans 1:16).

About Don Woodruff

Retired from FedEx and dedicated to sharing God's Word with others. I send out devotionals weekly and have written two books: "The Crucifixion Catalyst / Unspoken Messages From God To Believers" (published and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble **out of print**) and "I'm Saved Now What?" (unpublished). I am currently working on a third one that will be a Daily Devotional. The devotionals on my Blog have been viewed by people in all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. I sincerely believe the Lord provides the content for the devotionals and in 2013 He “tasked” me with distributing them and storing them on my Blog. They are free and I will not solicit any donations. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to leave comments if one of them speaks to you personally, or if you have a suggestion.
